Amorgos beaches are some of the most beautiful beaches in the Aegean sea and the ideal way to explore them is private yachting. Megali Glyfada or Vlichada is located in the northern part of the island, about an hour walk from the village Tholaria. It is quite inaccessible, but its special beauty compensates the visitor! Mikri Glyfada is a very beautiful beach northwest of Tholaria. It takes half an hour to walk from the village and you can reach it from a rocky path used by fishermen. A path full of wild beauty as you cross the ravine. Psili Ammos is one of the Amorgos beaches that is quite known for its golden sand.
It is accessible by walking 30 minutes from the port of Aegiali. Agios Pavlos can be found in the northern part of Amorgos, just outside Aegiali with calm waters, ideal for fishing. Agia Anna and Levrosos are considered to be two of the most famous Amorgos beaches. The first is just below the Monastery of "Hozoviotissa" while the second is a traditional nudist beach. Its access is easy by taking the road to "Tholaria" and following the path that starts right above it. Kalotaritissa is an organized beach in south Amorgos which provides sunbeds and a beach bar for its guests. So is Maltese, where the visitor can find a fantastic beach bar as well as numerous modern umbrellas and sunbeds. The beach is located near the port of Katapola.
