Interesting Corners In The City Of Chania

In Chania, in the beautiful location of Profitis Ilias, stand the tombs of the Venizelos family, just 5 km east of the city. Eleftherios Venizelos had expressed the desire for this location to be his last home, just a few kilometers away from his house located in the Halepa district of the city of Chania. In 1965, opposite the tomb of Eleftherios Venizelos, the tomb of his son Sophocles Venizelos was erected, who was also the Prime Minister of Greece from 1943 to 1952.
