The Beautiful Eretria Resort

The phenomenon with the "crazy waters" on the Chalkida Bridge, which change direction four times during the day, the famous tsipouro restaurants of the city and the short distance from the capital, have made Evia a popular destination for the residents of Athens. However, Evia is not only Chalkida, its capital. The green north creates the perfect contrast with the austere landscape of the south, which is more reminiscent than the one in the Cyclades. The historic Eretria, the spa town of Edipsos, the beaches to Central Greece and the "balcony" in the vast Aegean to the east compose a very special place, which awaits families and singles to discover it.

Eretria, one of the most important cities-states in antiquity, is an important seaside resort in the prefecture of Evia, founded in 1824 after the destruction of Psara (hence its first name which was Nea Psara and was given by the survivors of Psara who settled in its territories) and has 4,166 inhabitants according to the 2011 census. The current town, which has important companies in the sectors of accommodation, catering and entertainment, is connected to Attica via the ferry line Eretria - Oropos but also through the road network Eretria - Chalkida - Athens.eretria hotels It is an excellent holiday resort in the prefecture of Evia. It is located southeast of Chalkida, in the Gulf of Evia, just opposite the northern coast of Attica.
